Mrs. Helen P. Thompson, 73, of 627 Acres, died in Klein Memorial hospital at 5 p.m. Thursday, January 23. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Vahle and was born April 12, 1901, in Burlington. She married Berdell Thompson August 12, 1921, at Quincy, Illinois.

Surviving: The husband; daughter Evelyn Walker, Burlington; four sisters: Linda Stone of California; Annie Bauer, Peoria, Illinois.; Marie Masters, Oskaloosa; and Minnie Gerdom, Burlington; one granddaughter; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral: Prugh's Chapel at 3 p.m. Saturday; Reverend Ernest Ellmers; Memorial Park cemetery.
