Chad William Sattler, 28, of Burlington died at 7:23 a.m. Sunday, June 15, 2008, at his home.
Born June 14, 1980, in Burlington, he was the son of Mike and Gail Springsteen Sattler.
Mr. Sattler worked in production at General Electric and did roofing with 3 D Roofing. He was affiliated with the Methodist church. He enjoyed playing softball, riding his motorcycle, playing pool, cage fighting, going to the gym, cooking out, chopping wood and time on the river.
Survivors include his parents of Burlington; three sons, Brodi Sattler and Tristen Sattler, both of Burlington, and John Thompson of Cambridge, Ill.; two daughters, Kendra Spiker of Stronghurst, Ill., and Chaley Sattler of Burlington; three brothers, Shane Lieb of West Burlington, Shawn Lieb of Fort Madison and Steven Lieb of Burlington; his grandmother, Fern Springsteen of Burlington; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, two grandfathers and one grandmother.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday at Prugh's Chapel in Burlington where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
The graveside funeral for Mr. Sattler will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Burlington Memorial Park with the Rev. Shane McCampbell officiating.
A memorial has been established for his children's education.
