Death of Mrs. S. N. Walker.

Mrs. Samuel N. Walker died at her home northeast of town, Sunday, following a three weeks' illness. The funeral services were held from the home on Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Reverend Robert Darling of Burlington. The interment was in Elmwood cemetery. The funeral was largely attended.

Hattie May Walker was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Moyer and was born in Burlington, Iowa, July 28, 1876. On October 25, 1893, she was united in marriage to Samuel N. Walker. To this union were born eleven children, all of whom, with the husband survive her. One daughter, Mrs. Maude Umphrey is married and lives in Davenport, and one son, George, is with the soldier boys at Camp Dodge. Another daughter, Elsie E., lives in Missouri, and is doing evangelistic work. The other children are at home.

The family have the sympathy of all in their bereavement.

The relatives here for the funeral were: The son George and a brother, Ed N. Moyer, both from Camp Dodge; brother, Hallack Moyer and family from Clear Lake, Iowa; and a sister of Mr. Walker's, Mrs. Everna Frizzell, from Woodburn, Iowa.
