The Burlington Hawk-Eye, February 22, 1970; Burlington, Des Moines County, Iowa:

Mrs. Ruth A. Moyers, 74, of 1713 Smith, died in Burlington Memorial hospital Friday, February 20 (1970).

She was a native of Keokuk, and was born April 27, 1895, the daughter of Andrew P. and Hulda C. Youngblood (sic: Youngberg). She was married to the late Edwin N. Moyers on February 21, 1920.

Mrs. Moyers was a member of Bethany Lutheran church, where a memorial to her has been established.

Surviving: Two sons, Lloyd A. Moyers, West Point, and Doyle E. Moyers, Burlington Route 2; four daughters: Esther (sic: Ethel) Moyers, with whom she made her home; Mrs. Caroline Bailey, Keokuk, Mrs. Mabel Haines, Fairfield, and Mrs. Elizabeth Long, Lockridge; brother Ray Hayes, Joliet, Illinois; sister Mrs. Esther Anderson, Mediapolis, and 23 grandchildren.

Services: Bethany church at 1:30 p.m. Monday, the Reverend Walter A. Lack, Kossuth cemetery. The body is at the Fry Chapel, in Mediapolis.
