Roberta Sue Robling, 74, of Burlington, died at 10:45 AM Friday, October 17, 2014, at the Great River Klein Center in West Burlington.

Born August 6, 1940, in Portland, OR, she was the daughter of Siguard and Helen Wilmsen Jackson. On September 17, 1982, she married Richard Lee Robling in Oswego, IL.

Roberta was a seamstress for Marmion Military Academy in Aurora, Illinois for 21 years.

She was a 1960 graduate of Batavia High School.

She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church. She loved astrology, doing hair, reading, loved to sewing and especially her cat, Pretty Girl.

Survivors include her husband, Richard; one son, Russell (Monica) Swafford of Galveston, TX; three daughters, Rhonda Valenzuela of Richmond, KY, Deborah (Wayne) Summers of Fort Madison, and Renee (Wally) Haim of Austin, TX; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Ralph Jackson of Grand Encampment, WY, Stuart Jackson of Billings, MT, and Gene (Bev) Jackson of Omaha, NE; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one daughter, Roxanne Williams.

Visitation will be from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM with the family to receive friends from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 21, 2014, at Thielen Funeral Home.

The funeral service for Mrs. Robling will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 21, 2014, at Thielen Funeral Home with Reverend Brad Cranston officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Ft. Madison.

A memorial has been established for the Great River Klein Center.
