Linda Alice McNitt, 59, of Burlington died Friday, October 3, 2014 at the Danville Care Center.

Born November 22, 1954 in Monmouth, Illinois she was the daughter of Otto Buster & Mary Louise Lance Redding. She married Ronald Wooldridge they later divorced.

Linda worked as a cashier in the service station industry. She loved animals, especially her dog. She enjoyed camping which usually involved taking her pets along. Her family was always welcome to enjoy the outdoors and would often join in on the camping fun.

She also enjoyed playing bingo, cooking, fishing, crocheting blankets, yard sales & flea markets, bargain hunting and games on the internet. She loved to read Stephen King books and was also a collector of Tweetie Bird. She belonged to the Eagles Club and was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include two daughters, Amy Thacker of West Burlington, IA and Leigha Wooldridge of Burlington, IA; one sister, Elizabeth McCartney of Clinton, MO; three grandsons, Blake, Seth & Preston Broeker; three granddaughters, Kelsay Broeker, Piper Thacker & Erin Clarke; her companion of 16 years, Robert McMillan of Burlington; several nieces, nephews & cousins.

The Celebration of Life for Linda McNitt will be held in Prugh’s Chapel on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 11:00 am. Pastor Sam Fratt will officiate. A memorial has been established in memory of Linda McNitt. No formal visitation is planned. Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Funeral Service. Following the service a luncheon will be held at the Four Square Gospel Church.
