Mrs. Marguerite Josephine Wells, 68, of 1608 South Central Avenue, died in St. Francis hospital at 1:15 a.m. Thursday, July 27.

She was the daughter of Elmer and Iva May Osborne Fouts and was born September 4, 1903, in Ottumwa.

She married the late John Earnest Wells at Burlington on August 12, 1940.

Mrs. Wells was employed by F. W. Woolworth Company for 35 years, retiring in 1964.

She was a charter member of the Eagles auxiliary.

Surviving: Daughter Mrs. Judy Beik, Wapello Route 2; brother Cecil Fouts, Burlington; and a sister, Mrs. Thelma Crooks, Galesburg, Illinois.

Funeral: Giles-Elliott Chapel, 1:30 Saturday, Reverend Richard Martin; Aspen Grove cemetery.
