Mrs. Catherine Elizabeth Wells, 69, of 3075 Sunnyside, died at 9:10 a.m. Thursday, October 28, at St. Francis hospital.

Mrs. Wells was born January 25, 1902, in Thornton, the daughter of Peter and Rosina Crabb Gerbeling, and married Frank Wells June 28, 1922, in Burlington.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran church and the national Letter Carriers Auxiliary.

Surviving: Three daughters, Mrs. Jeanette Wilson, Muscatine, Mrs. Lois Siegworth Danville, and Mrs. Margie Cline, New London; two sons, Donald and Richard, both of Burlington; 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral: Reverend G.A. Prugh's Saathoff; Aspen Grove cemetery. Time is pending.
