Lester C. Hartman, Jr., 46 of Mount Pleasant, died at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, 1993 at Henry County Health Center, Mount Pleasant.
Born July 26, 1946 in Burlington, he was the son of Lester and Winifred Anhalt Hartman, Sr. He married Erma Bush April 18, 1992 in Mt. Pleasant.
He was a bartender at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, New London. He was an Army veteran of Vietnam and a member of VFW Post 7641, New London.
Survivors include his wife; a son, James Hartman of Mt. Pleasant; his father, of New London; five brothers, Kenneth Hartman of Wapello, Richard Hartman of Fairfield, Fred Hartman of Winfield, Larry Hartman of Oquawka, IL, and Dennis Hartman of Columbus Junction; and three sisters, Bonnie Hartman of Stronghurst, IL, Alice Wiley of LaHarpe, IL, and Judith Strasser of Morning Sun.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Weds. at Elliott Chapel, New London.
The funeral for Mr. Hartman will be 2 p.m. Thrs. at Elliott chapel with the Rev. Jim Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Burge Cemetery with military rites by VFW Post 7641.
