Timothy Wayne Davis, 52, of Burlington, died early morning, Sunday, August 31, 2014, at Great River Medical Center, West Burlington.
Born September 3, 1961, in Burlington, he was raised by Chuck and Jan Friedel. He married Diane Garmoe on December 23, 2004, in Burlington.
Mr. Davis worked as a construction supervisor for Raider's Precast in West Burlington, for several years. He was of the Christian faith and enjoyed many hobbies including fishing and working in his yard. He was an avid gun and animal fur hat collector and was a self-taught guitar player.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Davis of Burlington; two sons, Matt Davis of Fairfield, IA and Michael (Kay) Riley of Springfield, IL; four daughters, Tammy (Roy) Lenover of Kirkwood, IL, Teresa McGeehon of Monmouth, IL, Chrystal Knight and Amy Granaman of Fairfield, IA; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Penny Lopez of Galesburg, IL and Terri Davis, Pam Davis, and Gina Erickson of Burlington; six brothers, Richard (Bonnie) Davis Jr. of Galesburg, IL, Rick, Bob, Scott, and Eric (Wendy) Wixom and Mick Freidel of Burlington; and his grandfather, Floyd John; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother Jan Friedel, and his grandmother Dorothy John.
The funeral service for Mr. Davis will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 2nd in Lunning Chapel. Chaplain David Huskey will officiate. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the time of service. Cremation has been entrusted to Lunning Chapel and will be accorded following the funeral service.
A memorial has been established for the Des Moines County Humane Society.
