Obituary, The Burlington Hawk-Eye, July 9, 1967; Burlington, Moines County, Iowa:

Mediapolis (IA) -- Henry Robert Miller, 72, Mediapolis, died Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at his home.

He was born April 23, 1895, in Des Moines County, the son of Joe and Flora Piper Miller. February 25, 1920, he married Katherine Walker who died in 1954. In 1955, he married Hallie Walker in Mt. Pleasant. He was member of Immanuel Lutheran church and was a retired farmer. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion.

Surviving: The wife; daughter, Mrs. Barbara Borders, Mt. Pleasant; five grandchildren; six sisters, Mrs. Olive Bloomer, Mrs. Arthur Brockway and Mrs. Frank Walker of Wapello, Mrs. Henry Cousins (sic) and Mrs. Ida Riepe of Mediapolis; Mrs. Estella Klein, Burlington; a brother, John, Mediapolis.

Services: Monday 2 p.m., Fry chapel, Mediapolis, Reverend Duane Olson; Memorial Park Cemetery, Burlington. A memorial fund has been established.
