Alice A. Mehaffy, 93, of 11912 Iowa 99, Burlington, died Monday, December 4, 1995, at her home. Born January 12, 1902, in Minden, Nebraska, she was the daughter of Adelbert and Rosa Borge Cover. She married Russell Mehaffy on February 6, 1918, in Holdrege, Nebraska. He died April 15, 1954.

Mrs. Mehaffy was a homemaker. She attended Oak Street Baptist Church. Survivors include four daughters, Cleo Gerst of Mediapolis, Grace Mellinger of Burlington, Donna Yoder of Oakville and Faye Fraise of West Point; three sons, Loren Mehaffy of Gladbrook, Ronald Mehaffy of Burlington and Donald Mehaffy of Danville; one sister, Floriene Klenk of Burlington; one brother, Delane Cover of Mediapolis; 22 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one grandchild and two brothers.

Friends may call after noon today at Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

The funeral for Mrs. Mehaffy will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Lunning Chapel, with the Reverend Adolph Braun officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
