Carl Ludwig Bloomberg, clerk of Yellow Spring township, died in Burlington hospital Wednesday. His home was at Mediapolis. Death came five days after his seventy-first birthday.

Mr. Bloomberg was the father of James C. Bloomberg of Burlington and the brother of Louis G. Bloomberg of Skunk River Rd.

He was the son of C. J. H. and Mary Louise Peterson Bloomberg, and was born Sept. 8, 1896, at Mediapolis. He was married, also at Mediapolis, to Rose Cling on April 23, 1932.

Mr. Bloomberg was a member of Immanuel Lutheran church.

Surviving: The son, the brother, the wife; daughter Mrs. Joyce Hoskins, Davenport; sisters Mrs. Emma Youngquist of Davenport and Florence and Mabel Bloomberg and Mrs. Ethel Gustafson, all of Mediapolis, and two grandchildren.

Services: Immanuel Church Friday at 2:30, the Rev. Duane Olson, Kossuth cemetery. The body is at the Fry Chapel.

A memorial fund has been established for the Immanuel Lutheran church.
