Francille Mildred Kilbride, 91, of Mediapolis died at 2:05 a.m., Friday, June 11, 2010 at Great River Hospice House, West Burlington, IA.

Francille was born February 23, 1919, the daughter of Charlie and Mary Kiesow Baker in Millport, MO. She married Francis Pearl Kilbride on October 14, 1940 in Brashear, MO. He died on March 26, 1995.

Francille retired from the Burlington Basket Company as a picnic foreman in 1983. She made her home next door to Terry and Robbie until having a stroke in November of 2009. She was a member of the Moose Lodge. She enjoyed gardening, going to yard sales, the Buy, Sell & Trade at S.C.C., making comforters for her kids and grandkids and taking care of her chickens. She was also an avid euchre player. She loved her family very much.

She is survived two daughters, Arlene (Harold) Blaise of Ft. Madison, IA and Mildred Sharpe (Harold) Wood of LaBelle, MO; four sons, Howard Kilbride of Burlington, IA, LaVerne (Julia) Kilbride of Mediapolis, IA, Jerry (Joanne) Kilbride of Morning Sun, IA and Terry (Robbie) Kilbride of Mediapolis, IA; 23 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; 25 great-great-grandchildren; cousin, Josephine Strange of Knox City, MO; brother-in-law, Robert Kilbride; 3 sisters-in-law, Margaret Mehaffey, Lenora Humphrey and Verna Marie Hamlin; and many nieces and nephews,

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 3 brothers, 1 sister, 3 grandchildren and 1 son-in-law.

Funeral services for Francille Mildred Kilbride will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Prugh’s Chapel. Rev. Beth Briggs will officiate. Interment will be at IOOF Cemetery, Hurdland, Missouri at 3:00 p.m.
