Bill Dale "B.D." Wilson, 85 of 2627 Florence Avenue, Burlington, Iowa died at 3:50 p.m. Friday, October 17, 2003 at the Great River Medical Center, West Burlington, Iowa.

Born July 21, 1918, in Galesburg, Illinois, he was the son of Wilbur David "Dan" and Margaret Julia Geiger Wilson. On December 30, 1939, he married M. Jeanne Parkins in Burlington, Iowa, at St. Paul's Rectory.

Mr. Wilson was a retired railroad conductor with Burlington Northern and CB&Q. He attended high school and one year of college.

He was a Navy veteran of World War ll.

He was a member of Ss. Mary & Patrick Catholic Church, Eagles Aerie #150, V.F.W., Past Mason, NARVRE Unit 167, Senior Bowler, YMCA, Flint Hills Golf Club and the Humane Society.

He enjoyed swimming at Great River Medical Center Rehab, Senior Olympics, and shopping at Eagles Food Store.

Survivors include his wife, M. Jeanne of Burlington; six daughters, Diane (Bob) Mansheim of Burlington, Liz (Tim) Buhmeyer of Burlington, Maggie Pettit of Burlington, Melissa "Missy" (Patrick) Mulholland of Sperry, Ia., Sarah Wilson (Michael) Benninghover of Burlington and Barbara "Bunnie" (James) Wilson-DeWitt of Des Moines, Ia.; 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren, and his beloved dog, Alice.

He was preced in death by his parents, one daughter, Susan G. Naples, and one brother, Eugene R. Wilson.

Friends may call at Prugh's Chapel after 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday with the family receiving friends from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. and then following the service until 9:00 p.m.

The funeral will be at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 21, 2003 ,at Prugh's Chapel with the Fr. Jerry Stouvenel officiating. Burial will be in the Saced Heart Cemetery.
