Kay Wilke, 69, of Middletown, formerly of New London and Mount Pleasant, died at 10:26 a.m. Wednesday, January 13, 1999, at Henry County Health Center in Mount Pleasant.

Born June 3, 1929, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Max and Mary Van Osdol Carden. In 1951, she married Jim Calloway. She later married John Wilke.

Mrs. Wilke worked at the Mental Health Institute in Mount Pleasant for 10 years.

She was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Connie Carlson of Schererville, Indiana.; one son, Craig Calloway of Middletown; one granddaughter; and one brother, Floyd Carden of Middletown.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be after 9 a.m. Saturday at Elliott Chapel, New London, where the family will receive friends from noon until the time of service.

The funeral for Mrs. Wilke will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Elliott Chapel, with the Reverend Jeff McPheron officiating. Burial will be in Jaggar Cemetery, Danville.

A memorial has been established to the American Lung Association.
