Nancy C. Inghram, 82, of Burlington, Iowa, died at Burlington Care Center, Burlington, Iowa, on Thursday, June 12, 2014. Born on January 17, 1932 in Burlington, Iowa, she was the daughter of Milburn E. and Clara Hageman Lietsch. She married Earl F. Inghram on June 10, 1950 in West Burlington, Iowa. He died on October 25, 2007.
Nancy was a homemaker. She had many joys in her life. She loved cruising on the river with husband Earl and family on the Nancy III. She adored her children and grandchildren. She brought joy to everyone, and everyone was grateful to have known her and they adored her. She knew no strangers and welcomed everyone into her life and her home. She will be best remembered for her humor and her generosity. She was of the Catholic faith.
She is survived by one son, Christopher (Martha) Inghram of Burlington, IA; two daughters, Coeli (Nicholas) Nartey of Des Moines, IA and Tori McSorley, Silver Springs, MD; 11 grandchildren, Quinton Inghram, Jena Inghram, Jade Inghram, Ivy Boyd, Jordan Walker, Jesse McSorley, Matthew Carrol, Lacy Clifford, Tiffaney Inghram, Bridget Konan and Jeaneen Ford; 15 great-grandchildren, Audrey, Alivia and Eli Inghram, Paige Rios, Owen Baker, Ashlyn and Zoey Bruce, Layla and Luna Leif, Niko Ainsfield, Sabashton Albert, Violet Ford, Joyce Smith, Xander Carroll and Kyla McGillem; ten sisters, Gloria Lietsch of Aurora, IL, Patricia (James) Darnold of West Burlington, IA, Rosemary Harris of West Burlington, IA, Sanchia Gahn of Edina, MN, Rita (Albert) Heckenberg of Sperry, IA, Mary Ellen Rincon of Tampa, FL, Judith Heap of West Burlington, IA, Mary Lucia Lietsch of Burlington, IA, Michaela (Mickey) Daly of Burlington, IA, Sheila (Wayne) Drew of Burlington, IA; two brothers, Milburn "Sonny" Lietsch Jr. of Burlington, IA & Thomas (Barbara) Lietsch of Burlington, IA; four brothers-in-law, Robert (Sally) Inghram of Burlington, IA, Paul Brayton of High Point, NC,James Grothe of Middletown, MD and John Carlson of Danville, IA; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
he was preceded in death by her husband; parents; five sons, Wayde, Greggory, Damian, Grant and Trevor; three sisters, Celine “Sally” Grothe, Therese Francine McLaughlin and Suzanne Carlson.
The Memorial Service for Nancy Inghram will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Prugh’s Chapel. Fr. Marty Goetz will officiate. Interment will be in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery. No formal visitation is planned. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her memory.
