Nancy Timmerman, 66, of Burlington, Iowa, died at Danville Care Center on Wednesday, June 4, 2014. Born on October 7, 1947 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, she was the daughter Fannie Louise Hickman Dempsey and Hugh Richard Dempsey. She married Kenneth Wayne Timmerman on April 29, 1970 in Fort Madison, Iowa.

Nancy loved the students as she worked for the Burlington School System as a crossing guard at Plane & Agency for the former Washington School and South & 9th Street for the old Grimes School. In her spare time she enjoyed fishing and traveling with her husband. She was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Timmerman of Burlington, Iowa; two sisters, Joanne Louck of Moline, Illinois & Judy Wheeler of Sterling, Illinois; several nieces and nephews & cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents
