Elijah Charles Serczyk, stillborn infant, died Sunday, May 11, 2014 at Great River Medical Center, West Burlington, Iowa.

He is survived by his parents, Michele Dawn Serczyk of Burlington, Iowa and Gerald Gaines of Sioux City, Iowa; maternal grandfather, Ronald Serczyk of East Chicago, Indiana; maternal grandmother, Betty Mays of West Burlington, IA; maternal grandparents, Ruth & Javier Guajardo of Burlington, IA; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Gaines of Chicago, IL; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by three infant brothers, James Edward Searcy Jr., Jedadia Serczyk and Josiah Roberts; maternal grandmother, Antonette Serczyk.

Graveside committal services will be held on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Aspen Grove Cemetery, Burlington, Iowa. Fr. Marty Goetz will officiate. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Sunnyside St. entrance to the cemetery prior to the service. No formal visitation is planned.
