Bobby Dean "Bubba" Hallbick, 77, of Burlington, died at 3:06 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2003, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.

Born May 4, 1925, in Monmouth, Illinois, he was the son of Rolland Ray and Florence Belle Reed Hallbick. On March 14, 1948, he married Donna Marie Elliott in Burlington.

Mr. Hallbick was a truck driver for Arledge Transportation for 29 years.

He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ. He was a World War II Marine Corps veteran.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Pamella Stimpson of Dallas City, Illinois and Cathie Bailey of Abingdon, Illinois; two grand children; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters.

Visitation will be from 3 until 5 p.m. Sunday at Prugh's Chapel.

The memorial service for Mr. Hallbick will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Prugh's Chapel, with the Rev. Frank Beaty officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for Des Moines County Special Needs Foundation.
