Ruth M. Kempf

Ruth M. Kempf, 97, of Burlington died at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.

Born January 25, 1908, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Samuel and Clara J. Lauer McAuley. On October 17, 1942, she married Otto J. Kempf in Canton, Missouri. He died March 13, 1977.

Mrs. Kempf worked on a glue machine for Tabor Burns Box Co. in Burlington.

She was a member of First Christian Church for 72 years and a member of CWF Martha Circle of One Christian Women's Fellowship, AARP and RSVP. She liked working on ceramics, crafts and sewing. She loved traveling, dancing, going to Bees games and traveling to St. Louis to watch the Cardinals.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two half-sisters
