Goldie M. Remaly

Goldie M. Remaly, 83, of the Burlington Care Center, died 4:15 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25, 1988, at the care center.

Born June 16, 1904, in Jefferson County, she was the daughter of Sherman and Ella Melinda Shepard Haifley. She married Ervin G. Remaly April 30, 1923, in Burlington. He died Feb. 25, 1974.

She was a retired employee of Leapold Dest and Camp's Laundry. She was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Helen Burrell and Mrs. Bonnie Diercks, both of Burlington; four sisters, Mrs. Ethel Ball, Burlington, Mrs. Eva Johnson, Boise, Idaho, Mrs. Hazel Welder, Marion, Ind.; nine grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Prugh's Chapel.

The service for Mrs. Remaly will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Prugh's Chapel with the Rev. Melvin Miller officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for the Burlington Care Center.
