BondurantAlice Barnes, 65, died Saturday, August 30, 2003 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 3 at Bondurant Federated Church with burial in Bondurant Cemetery.
Alice was a farm wife who lived most of her life in Bondurant. She is survived by her husband, Bill Barnes of Bondurant; sons, Joe and his wife, Melodee Tufts of Bondurant and Vercel Barnes of Bondurant; two grandchildren, Patrek and Miranda; sister, Joy Angelino of Tijeras, NM and brother, Jerry Pleasant of Burlington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lula and Harvey Pleasant; brother, Ted Pleasant and first husband, Pat Tufts.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., and family will be there to visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at Altoona Funeral Home. Memorial gifts may be made to the research of Leukemia. ~ The Des Moines Register Legacy, Des Moines, Iowa, Tues 2 Sept 2003.
