Paul F. Rapp, 85, of 2138 S. Main, died at 12:55 p.m. Friday at the Burlington Medical Center.
He was born May 3, 1900, in Burlington, to Edward and Flora Hermann Rapp. He married Mary Jane Cady Oct. 7, 1937 in Burlington. She died Feb. 14, 1978.
He was a retired jeweler. He operated Rapp's Jewelry Store, a family owned business with a 100-year history in Burlington from 1920 to 1970. He was a member of the First Congregation church, B.P.O.E. 84, Crystal Lake Club, Burlington Gold Club, and the American Gem Society. He attended Northwestern University.
Surviving one son: E.C. Rapp, Burlington; and two grandchildren.
Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Monday, First Congregational Church, the Rev. Thomas L. Mowbray; Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the Bi-State MS Support Group.
