Former Burlington Girl Dies at Her Home in Springfield

The body of Miss Maud John former Burlington girl, who died Sunday at her home in Springfield, Mo., is expected to arrive in Burlington today for burial beside her father in Aspen Grove cemetery.

She was born in Burlington, July 20, 1894, and lived here until about fourteen years ago, when the family went to Thayer, Mo. The later removed to Springfield, where her father died several years ago. Miss John is survived by her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth M. John and one brother Clyde John, who will accompany the body here.

She was also niece of Mrs. Daniel Hassel and George H. Frank and Charles Neff of Burlington.

Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

Funeral Notice

Funeral services for Miss Maud R. John who died at Springfield, Mo. August 27, will be held at the Grace M. E. church Thursday, August 31, at 2:30 p.m. The Funeral cortege will leave Burnnet & Wallen Parlors at 2 p.m. Interment in Aspen Grove cemetery.
