"---Catherine Dewein died this morning at her residence, 1306 north Eighth street, of heart trouble, aggravated by a severe attack of bronchitis. Mrs. Dewein was born in Hesse-Darmstadt, Germany, August 19, 1825. She came to Burlington in 1854 and has resided here uninterruptedly since. During her long residence in the city Mrs. Dewein made boats of friends who will grieve sincerely to hear that she has been taken away. She leaves a family of four children: John, of Fort Scott, Kansas; Chris, of Denver; Charles, of this city and Mrs. Mary Smith. The funeral will be held at a date to be announced later."
