Nena Johnson, 78, of Mediapolis, died Saturday, July 26, at Burlington Medical Center.

She was born April 9, 1902, at Washington to Daniel and Mary (Stransky) Sexton.

She married Raymond (Doc) Johnson, June 5, 1929 at Cedar Rapids.

She was a retired teacher in the Mediapolis grade schools, and a member of the United Methodist church in Mediapolis, and a member of the United Methodist Womens association.

Surviving: The husband; one daughter, Virginia Mueller, Mediapolis; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Funeral: 3 p.m., Monday, United Methodist Church, Mediapolis, the Rev. Eldon Haworth; Kossuth Cemetery, Mediapolis.

A Memorial has been established to the Arthritis Foundation.
