William McKinley Ernst, 71, of 1718 Amelia, died at 5:05 a.m. Saturday, June 17, at Burlington's Memorial hospital.
Born July 17, 1900 at Cresco, he was the son of Herman and Mary Ponek Ernst. He married Sadie Lanning on March 15, 1948 in Burlington.
Surviving: His wife; three daughters, Mrs. Yvonne Evans, Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Lois Sloon, Yakima, Wash., Miss Marian Ernst, Yakima, Wash.; six grandchildren: one great-grandchild; four brothers, Clarence, Minneapolis, Minn., Walter, Cresco, Arthur, Austin, Minn., Emmett in state of Washington; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Urban, Cresco, and Mrs. Florence Calloway, Rahway, N.J.
Funeral; 2 p.m. Tuesday, Prugh's chapel, Rev. G. A. Saathoff; Aspen Grove cemetery.
