Died.

In this city, Saturday evening, March, 29th, at half past seven o'clock, Mrs. Angelica Mason nee Gear, wife of the Hon. Chas. Mason, aged 65 years. Suddenly attacked on Thursday last by that insidious disease cerebro spinal meningitis, with a delicate organization and an enfeebled constitution, no remedial agents could arrest the fatal malady.

One of the earliest settlers of the city, with occasional intervals of temporary residence at Washington City, while her husband held official station, she was known and endeared to a large circle of friends, by the Christian graces of her character and the quiet and unobtrusive example of her daily life. Choosing the true mission of womanhood in the home and household, she sought and conferred the happiness with which the wife and mother brightens the hearthstone.

In the matured ripeness of duties performed, and the rounded fulness of a perfect life, deplored by those who knew her in the tender relations of the family, mourned by surviving friends, less familiar with the beauty of her domestic life, and surrounded by the elegancies and luxuries of her dwelling, she closeld her eyes on the sunshine of this visible world, in its gathering darkness, to open them to a higher glory in the mansions of Him "Whose dwelling is the light of setting suns."
