New London (IA) -- Jack A. Schroder, 61, New London Route 1, died in Burlington Medical Center at 1:15 a.m. Sunday, November 15.

He was born December 30, 1919, at Wever to Otto and Hazel Davison Schroder. He married Esther M. Senn in Burlington November 27, 1941. He headed the Jack A. Schroder Construction Corporation from 1948 until retirement in 1973, was a Navy Seabee in World War II, and was a member of the United Methodist Church and various Masonic orders.

Surviving: his wife; son J. Anthony, New London; four daughters, Coral Fuson and Janene and Jeri Schroder, all of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Christine Schroder, New London; two brothers Dean and Douglas Schroder, both of Las Vegas; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Elliott Chapel, New London, the Reverend Hidetoshi Tanaka; Aspen Grove Cemetery, Burlington. Masonic rites: 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel, where a memorial to the Shriners Crippled Childrens Hospital has been established.
