Mrs. Amalie Thie

Mrs. Amalie C. (Molly) Thie, 94, 1836 Osborn, died Friday in St. Francis hospital after an extended illness.

The former Amalie Riepe, she was born July 1, 1870, in Des Moines county, the daughter of Henry and Julianna Breuer Riepe. She married Fred H. Thie, Apr. 6, 1893.

Mrs. Thie was the oldest member of St. John's United church of Christ Flint River township.

Survivors include two sons, Raymond H. of Burlington and Abner H. of Franklin township; two daughters, Meta C. Thie and Hulda Henderson, of Burlington; four grandsons; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Alpha Wischmeier of Rt. J; and several nieces and nephws. Her husband, a daughter and several brothers and sisers are dead.

Services will be Monday at 1:30 pm. At St. John's United Church of Christin Flint River township with the Rev. Joseph Mayer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body is at Prugh’s chapel.
