JOSEPH STODT DIES AT HOME NEAR THIS CITY

Joseph Stodt, 64, Flint River township farmer, died at his home four miles west of Burlington yesterday afternoon (September 11, 1931). His death followed an illness of several months.

Mr. Stodt was born in Austria, April 5, 1867, and came to the United States and directly to this section in 1884. He was married to Miss Amelia Rutter in Burlington May 14, 1890. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church of West Burlington.

Mr. Stodt is survived by his widow; his mother, Mrs. John Stodt of Burlington; one son, Richard Stodt, of Waterloo; three daughters, Mrs. Adam Mohler, Mrs. Elmer Lindstadt and Mrs. William Huppenbauer, all of Burlington; four sisters, Mrs. Joseph Lutteneger, Mrs, Adolpb Liederman, Mrs. Joseph Kubish and Mrs. Carl Jaeger, all of Burlington; two brothers, Frank Stodt of Burlington and John Stodt of Detroit, and six grandchildren.

The body was taken to Prugh's chapel where it will remain until funeral arrangements can be completed.

Funeral services for Mr. Joseph Stodt, who passed away September 11, 1931, at 2:30 p.m., will be held in St. Mary's Catholic church, West Burlington, Monday morning (September 14, 1931) at 9 o'clock. The cortege will leave Prugh's chapel at 8:30 o'clock. Friends invited. Interment will be In St. Mary's cemetery, West Burlington.
