JOHN STODT DIES AT W. BURLINGTON HOME

John Stodt died at his home at 321 Ramsey street West Burlington. Thursday morning at 6:30 o'clock, at the age of eighty-one years. He was a farmer in Flint River township, but retired eleven years ago and since that time has lived in West Burlington. He was well known by many people in Des Moines county.

He was born In Austria on December 23, 1839, and came to Des Moines county direct from Austria in 1891. He was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic church of West Burlington and of the Austrian society of Burlington.

He leaves his wife and the following children: Joseph Stodt, of Flint River township; John Stodt, of Detroit, Michigan; Frank and Richard Stodt, of West Burlington; Mrs. Mary Lutenegger, of Flint River township; Mrs. Minnie Lideremann of Flint River township; Mrs. Emily Kubisch of Franklin township; Agatha Jaeger, of Burlington; and one sister, Miss Anna Schmidt of Austria. Two children died some time ago. He also leaves twenty-two grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren:

The funeral services will be held from St Mary's Catholic church at West Burlington Saturday morning. with the burial in St. Mary's cemetery. Friends are invited to attend.
