Stanley Robert Herman, 64, of 1910 South Central, died in Burlington Medical Center at 5:13 p.m. Tuesday, August 16.

A retired city fireman, he was born in Burlington September 24, 1912, the son of Oscar and Amanda Lindberg Herman. He married Helen Koch November 13, 1937, in Burlington. He was a member of St. John Catholic church and Iowa Firemen's Association.

Surviving: The wife; two sons, Thomas J., St. Louis Park, Minnesota, and Gerald R., Burlington; two daughters, Joyce Brockway, West Burlington, and Rita Powell, Burlington; and five grandchildren.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday, St. John church, Reverend Florian Demmer; Sacred Heart cemetery. Rosary, 7:30 p.m. Friday, Prugh's Chapel.
