EDDIE B. DELABAR—Oquawka- Eddie Boyd Delabar died Monday morning, following an illness of several weeks. He had been in declining health for the past 4 years.

The son of John and Rachel Wells Delabar, pioneer residents here, he was born on the Sept 3, 1861. As a young man, he went to Kansas as a homesteader remaining there 7 years. He came back to Oquawka, and on Nov. 9, 1892, was married by Rev. Beal to Flora Clark, Oquawka.

Following their marriage, the couple farmed until they move to town 4 years ago.

Delabar joined the Methodist curch, at Reed, in youth. Later he attended the Oquawka Methodist church. He was a member of the MWV and a charter member of the Henderson county farm bureau.

Surviving are the widow; five sons, Clarence, Clifford and Roy Delabar on the home place. Roy Delabar, LaHarpe, and William Delabar, Oquawka; a daughter Mrs. Mildred Dunn, Oquawka. and 5 grandchildren.

Peviously dead are an infant son; 4 brothers; Joseph, L. H., Cyrus and Thomas Delabar and three sisters; Eliza Delabar, Mrs Martha Rockwell and Mrs. Mary Swain.

Services will held in the Oquawka Presbyterin church at 2:30 July 8. Burial will be in Oquawka Cemetery.
