CHARLES STOCKMAN
DIES SUDDENLYCharles Frederick Stockman, 317 Swan street, West Burlington, died suddenly at 1 p.m. Saturday at his home. He had been in failing health for the past 3 years.
Born in Oquawka, Ill., on July 16, 1884, the son of Valentine and Barbara Krehe Stockman, he came to Burlington 41 years ago.
He was united in marriage to Clara Freudenberg on May 10, 1894 at St. Louis, Mo. He was a member of the Methodist faith t, the Knights of Pythias and A.O.U.M.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Mrs. Amelia Hohl, Chaleston, W.VA., and Myrtle Stockman, West Burlington. There is also one granddaughter, 3 brothers, William, of Burlington, Edward, of Cedar Rapids, and Henry of Portland, Ore.
The body is at Purgh's chapel.
Funeral arrangemnets will be announced later.
