Lorenz H. (Dutch) Vahle, 55 of Burlington, Rt.1, died Saturday at 2:55 p.m. at Mercy Hospital.

He was worn June 15, 1910 in Burlington, the son of August and Augusta Blymund Vahle. May 22, 1936, he married Florence Rehm in Burlington.

He was a truck driver for Burlington Truck Lines, a member of Spring Grove Methodist church and teamsters local 218 for 30 years.

Surviving the wife; one son August F. Vahle, Burlington; two daughters Emma L. Vahle and Mrs. Norma Jean Day, Burlington; one step son Walter R. Rehm, Burlington, two brothers Ernest Lexington, Ky.; August Lincoln, Nebr.; five sisters, Mrs. Minnie Gerdon and Mrs. Helen Thompson, Burlington; Mrs. Marie Masters, Oskaloosa; Mrs. Olinda Stone, California; Mrs. Annie Bowers, Peoria, Ill.; seven grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services Tuesday 10:30 a.m.; Prugh's Chapel, Rev. George Pennington; Memorial Park Cemetery.
