MRS. LILLIAN M. SMITH
Morning Sun-Mrs. Lillian M. Smith, 95, died Friday morning at Morning Sun Manor.
She was born Oct. 22, 1876 at Dodgeville, Iowa, the daughter of Thomas and Laura Thomas Asby.
She married William Beck Smith Oct. 18, 1899, at Pleasant Grove, Iowa. Mrs. Smith was a member of the First United Presbyterian church Morning Sun, and a 50 year member of the Blackmar Chapter of Eastern Star at Mediapolis, Iowa.
Survivors include two sons, Fred N. Smith, Des Moines and B. Jack Smith, Morning Sun; one daughter, Mrs. Laura Barton, Mediapolis; one brother, Ben Galaher Largo, Fla.; one sister, Mrs. Joe Tonkinson, Yarmouth, Iowa; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Wednesday at the First United Presbyterian church, Morning Sun, with Rev. Louis Simmen officiating. Burial will be at the Pleasant Grove cemetery.
The body is at the Pierce Funeral Home, Morning Sun, where the family will receive friends Tuesday night between the hours of 7:30 and 8:30 o'clock.
