John W. Springsteen, 68, of 820 S. Seventh St., died in Burlington Memorial hospital at 8:30 p.m. Sunday Oct. 25. Mr. Springsteen was a long time machine operator at J.I. Case Co.
He was the son of Amberzine and Mary Moyers Springsteen, and was born Aug. 16, 1902, in Burlington. He married Frances Reiss Stout in Burlington on May 13, 1939.
Mr. Springsteen was a member of First Christian Church and of the Eagles lodge.
Surviving: The wife; two sons and a daughter; Orville Stout, Bettendorf; Warren Stout, Rock Island, Ill., and Ruth Stout, Burlington; two brothers and a sister; Clyde Springsteen, Burlington; Cecil Springsteen, Davenport, and Mrs. Adelia Wood, Burlington, Rt. 3 and six grandchildren.

Funeral: Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at Elliott-Lunning chapel, Rev. John Vickers; Memorial Park cemetery.
