Loraine "Bits" Brust Danielson, 85, of Galesburg, Ill., died 4:48 p.m. Sunday, January 29, 2012 at her daughter's home in Kewanee, Ill.

She was born January 29, 1927 in Burlington, to John A. and Anna G. Thomas Brust. She married Guy C. Rowley in 1947 in Burlington, Iowa. She later married Virgil Danielson December 21, 1963 in Burlington. They both preceded her in death.

Surviving are three daughters, Rebecca Lessard and Beth Hollingsworth both of Galesburg and Robin Danielson of Kewanee, Ill., a sister Bette L. Pepmeyer of Galesburg, six grandchildren, Mike Lessard, Moriah Lessard, Sara Hollingsworth, Nicholas Kravich, Kylie Kravich and Karlie Kravich and seven great grandchildren, Mikalah Lessard, Savannah Lessard, Jeffery Hollingsworth, Ty Hollingsworth, Dustin Thompson, Donald Hollingsworth, III and Dalten Hollingsworth. Also surviving are two nephews, John (and Laura) Pepmeyer and Tom (and Cindy) Pepmeyer both of Galesburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Marian Sheldon and a grandson Donald Hollingsworth.

Loraine was a schoolteacher for several years. She then worked for The Iowa Ordinance Plant in West Burlington. She taught dance in Burlington and owned a dance studio in California. She graduated from Burlington High School and Burlington Jr. College. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Burlington and Covenant Church and Covenant Women in Modesto, Calif. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Loraine moved to California in 1964 and returned to Galesburg in 2007. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, her family was the most important part of her life.
