MRS. TERRY, 66, OF CARMAN, ILL., SUCCUMBS HERE

Mrs. Elmer Terry, 66, Route 1, Carman, Ill., died at St. Francis hospital at 1:25 this afternoon.

Mrs. Terry was the mother if Chester Rickles, one of the three persons drowned when their johnboat capsized after being swamped several miles north of Burlington last Oct. 30.

The Illinois resident suffered a stroke last Monday, but had been in failing health several years.

She was a native of Burlington, born Sept. 22, 1873, and was the former Anna Cogswell. Mrs. Terry was a member of the United Presbyterian church in Olena, Ill.

Surviving are the husband; three daughters, Mrs. Louise Concannon and Mrs. William Bloomberg of Burlington and Mrs. Charles Ireland, Wever; three sons, Robert E. Moyers of Carman; and William Moyers and John E. Knotts of Burlington; a brother, R.H. Cogswell of this city; and 17 grandchildren. A son and daughter preceded her in death. The body was taken to the Unterkircher funeral home pending completion of arrangements for the funeral.
