Jack Timmerman

Jack Elwood Timmerman, 66, of Burlington, died Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2006, at his home.

Born May 22, 1940, in Burlington, he was the son of Earnest and Virginia Timmerman. On Aug. 18, 1962, he married Glenna Hopkins. She died in 1989.

Mr. Timmerman retired from Oil Gear in Wisconsin, where he lived for many years. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and boating.

Survivors include one son, Scott Timmerman of Burlington; three sisters, Joyce Colton of Texas, Diana Miller and Melody Peterson, both of Burlington; three grandchildren; one brother, Earnest Timmerman of Burlington and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the family's home at 4103 Summer St., Burlington.

The Cremation Society of Eastern–Central–Western Iowa is in charge of arrangements.
