Earl Metzger Rites and Burial Here
Funeral services for Earl E. Metzger, 63 of Burlington were held at the Methodist church here Tuesday afternoon with burial in the Winfield Scott Township Cemetery.
Mr. Metzger died last Friday night at Burlington hospital following an extended illness.
He was born in Winfield on August 12, 1894 the son of Eugene and Elizabeth Honts Metzger. He moved to Burlington six years ago when he retired from farming.
He married Mabel Johnson at New London February 26,1917. She survives as do a son Robert D. Metzger of Burlington and a daughter, Mrs. Jeanne Bohm of Calamus and three grandchildren. A son was killed in World War II.
