Mrs. Florence Dodds

DANVILLE - Mrs. Florence Elizabeth Dodds, 68, of Danville, died Tuesday at Burlington hospital.

She was the mother of State Sen. Robert Dodds of Danville.

Mrs. Dodds was born July 22, 1895, at West Burlington, the daughter of Henry E. and Luella Riley Hillgartner and was married to Horace W. Dodds at West Burlington on Feb. 2, 1921.

She was a member of Danville Methodist church and a charter members of chapter 514 of the OES.

Surviving are her husband, two sons, William A., of New York, and Robert R. of Danville; one daughter, Mrs. Jean Schnupper of Danville; five grandchildren; two brothers, Vance R. Hillgartner of Greenwood, Mo., and Harlan Hillgartner of Hillsboro.

Services will be held Friday at 2p.m.(CST) in the Methodist Church at Danville. The Rev. Harold Vaughn, assisted by the Rev. Horace Ireland, will officiate. Burial will be in Jaggar cemetery at Danville.
