Mrs. Walter Beck

Mrs. Walter L. Beck , Danville, died in Burlington hospital at 9 p.m. Jan 12, at the age of 65.

A native of Atwood, Ind. Mrs. Beck was the daughter of the Rev. U.G. and Lulu May Crabb Miller, and was born Sept. 30, 1888. The family moved to Danville 44 years ago, when the Rev. Mr. Miller became pastor of the Baptist church. On Dec. 31, 1914, she was married to Walter L. Beck at Danville.

Mrs. Beck was a member of the Danville Baptist church; OES chapter 514 of Danville, and the Danville Garden club.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a son and two daughters; Waithe Beck and Mrs. Ruthella Campbell; both of Danville, and Mrs. Kathleen Girvin, of Oak Lawn, Ill. and five grandchildren.

Also surviving are two brothers and a sister: Ernest Miller, Fort Madison; Wayland Miller, Richmond, Calif., and Ruth Miller of Danville. A brother, Dwight, and a sister, Edna, died previously.

Last rites will be held at the Danville Baptist church at 2:30 Thursday afternoon. The Rev. Leon Prentice will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Louis Eckols, pastor of the First Baptist church of Burlington. Burial will be in Jagger cemetery.

The body is at the Elliot chapel in New London.
