Mrs. Ingrid Franzen

Mrs. Ingrid Franzen, 95, died at her home, 2016 S. 15th street Sunday at 11 p.m. She had lived at the same address all her life.

A native of Sweden, she was born Oct. 1, 1868, and came to the United States and Burlington when she was 25. In 1895, she was married to Charles Franzen, who died in 1941.

She was a member of Messiah Lutheran church, the LCW and Ladies Aid.

Survivors include two sons, Al Franzen of Houston, Tex.; Dr. Arthur Franzen of Brentwood, Mo.; a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Baker, 2016 S. 15th street; a brother, Eric Gustafson, Moline, Ill.; 16 grand and 24 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, three daughters are also dead.

Services will be Wednesday at Messiah Lutheran church at 3 p.m. The body will be taken to the church at 1 p.m. The Rev. Paul Lindau will officiate and burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery. A memorial has been established for her at the Messiah Lutheran church.
