Mrs. Hazel Bendix, 1141 S. Garfield, died at 11:35 p.m. Sunday in Burlington hospital after a long illness.
She was born May 20, 1903 in Burlington the daughter of Charles and Ingrid Gustafson Franzen and was married Sept. 15, 1923 in Burlington to Raymond A.C. Bendix.
Mrs. Bendix was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and the women's organizations of the church.
Surviving are her husband; her mother; two daughters, Dorcus Bendix, Mediapolis, and Mrs. Garold Bailey, Houston, Texas; two grandchildren; two brothers, A.W. Franzen, Houston, Texas, and A.R. Franzen, Brentwood, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Stoermer and Mrs. Fred Baker, both of Burlington. Her father and a sister are dead.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from Messiah Lutheran church with Rev. John L. Kindschuh officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery. The body will be taken from Wallen's chapel to the church at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. A memorial fund has been established at the church.
