David French II

David Holmes French II, 49, died at 2 A.m. Saturday, March 13, 1999, in San Diego, Calif.

Born Nov. 24, 1949, in Burlington, he was the son of Arthur R. and Carol Duncan French. On Sept. 1, 1973, he married Mary Alice Dahlsten in Burlington.

Mr. French was a 1968 graduate of Burlington High School. He attended the University of Iowa and graduated from the University of Arizona. He taught in San Diego Schools.

Survivors include his mother; his wife, two sons(SIC), Alexandria Nicole Dahlsten French and Ryan Dahlsten French; one brother, James R. French, Dallas City, Ill.; one sister, Susan Sattler of Burlington; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.

A cremation ceremony, followed by a memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in First United Methodist Church of San Diego.
