Sister Genevieve

Sister Mary Genevieve Breen, 87, of Mt. St. Clare Convent, Clinton, died Friday, Oct. 3, at Burlington's Memorial Hospital, Mercy Unit, at 9:50 a.m., where she had been a patient since Aug. 28.

She was born July 19, 1882 in Illinois, the daughter of PAtrick and Marie Whalen Breen.

She entered the Sister of St. Francis, Clinton, in 1901.

Surviving: a sister, Mrs. Margaret McCullough, Hayward, Calif.; a brother, Charles E. Breen, Ames.

Services: Monday, 10:30 a.m., Memorial Hospital, Mercy Chapel; Sacred Heart Cemetery, Rosary, Mercy Chapel, Sunday,7:30 p.m.
