Mrs. Roy Wasson

Mrs. Roy Wasson, a resident of Danville for the past 2 1/2 years, died in Mercy hospital at 12:50 a.m. Thursday. She had been hospitalized for 10 days.

Minnie E. Wallman, daughter of Herman and Mary Whitmanhaus Wallman, was born in Pleasant Grove on Sept. 14, 1882, and was married to Roy Wasson at Pleasant Grove on March 14, 1907. They lived on a farm in the Pleasant Grove vicinity before settling in Danville.

Mrs. Wasson was a member of Shinar Cumberland Presbyterian church at Pleasant Grove.

Surviving besides her husband are a son and four daughters; Lorraine Wasson, Burlington; Velda Marie Wasson, Danville; Mrs. Ethel Conard, Des Moines; Mrs. Hazel Watkins, Yarmouth, and Mrs. Zella Krohn, of Middletown.

Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Annie Brown, of Yarmouth, and 11 grandchildren.

Four brothers and three sisters died previously.

Last rites will be conducted at Shinar church at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Donald Sweet will officiate and burial will be in the Pleasant Grove cemetery.

The body is at the Eliiot Chapel in New London.
